Deja Vu? DFW Shih Tzu Rescue Volunteers Assist with Kaufman County Puppy Mill Seizure and Take 2 More Shih Tzu

Mike at Kaufman Co. puppy mill seizure with Andy kaufman Mike with Kaufman Co puppy mill shih tzu Marilou HennerAfter barely catching their breath from working the Montague County puppy mill seizure, once again DFW Tzus and More volunteers answered the call from HSUS and EARS to assist with the 550 animal Kaufman County seizure. Five DFWT&MR volunteers spent many hours in the heat... cleaning cages, bathing and walking dogs, nursing ill dogs back to health, providing much needed supplies, and just helping out where needed.

The horrors seen at these Puppy Mill seizures are so heart breaking and are an important reminder of why NOT to buy a pet! To see video of the dreadful conditions inside the puppy mill, please go to www.hsus.org

DFWT&M took two of the puppy mill Shih Tzu into foster care. One is the cute black and white puppy, Andy Kaufman. Other than intestinal parasites, Andy seems healthy and is very lucky to have gotten out at only 3 months old. The other female, Marilou Henner, wasn't so lucky. At the young age of only 3-4, she is almost blind from lack of eye care and possibly from the ammonia fumes due to the build up of urine in cages.

This brings the total to 18 puppy mill dogs taken by DFWT&M in the last month.  If you would like to make a donation to assist with our mounting vet bills, please click HERE TO DONATE
