Despite several cities such as Arlington and Irving having new larger animal shelters, they are all over-full and having to euthanize many dogs! Three area shelters were so full this week, they couldn't wait for us to find a transporter. We had shelters actually deliver the dogs to our vet clinic, which is very unusual. They delivered a Lhasa Apso, 2 Shih Tzu, and 2 Shihpoos...YES,,,5 dogs in one day. We have had to close intake again due to lack of foster space. This leaves many dogs waiting in area shelters.  If you can foster, PLEASE complete a volunteer application now. WE NEED YOU! Even if it is just for the summer or a few weeks, you can help save a life!
