PAWPAD ALERT: We Are Pawsitively DESPERATE for Shih Tzu and Lhasa FOSTER HOMES!!

DAS Shih Tzu girls Tricities Lhasa boyThe furbabies like these three that we will pick up on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24 just keep coming out of the woodwork. We are hearing that the economy is on the verge of a turn-a-round, but we haven't even seen a glimmer of hope in Rescue yet. DFWT&MR has taken dogs from animal shelters in Mesquite, Dallas, TriCities/Cedar Hill, Fort Worth, Lewisville, Richland Hills, Keller, Grand Prairie and Arlington in the last few of weeks, plus owner surrenders from several other cities.  No part of the Metroplex seems to be left untouched.

Our vet clinic is almost at capacity as is our boarding facility. In order to continue to save the lives of shelter dogs, or dogs headed to shelters if we don't take them from desperate owners, we MUST have more foster homes so we can make room for the new dogs coming in. Even temporary paw pads will be a tremendous help. If teachers out for summer break could just take a dog till school starts, that would be great!

For those of you who have adopted a Shih Tzu or Lhasa, just think what your life would be like without that wonderful bundle of joy and unconditional love. Just think how lonely you would be if Rescue hadn't saved your furbaby's life. Can you open your heart and your home to help save another dog's life, and to make another family as happy as you are?

Many of us are blessed with good fortune, even in these trying times. Can you share your good fortune, even temporarily, with a homeless dog?

If you can make room in your life for one little homeless dog, please complete a volunteer application and join our Tzu Crew on-line here. You and that one homeless furbaby(or two) will be so glad you didLaughing
