Shih Tzu Rescue Updates
As we sadly reported earlier, Angie Dickenson's heart surgery wasn't successful. But for now, this little girl is doing great! She is an active puppy in every sense of the word. She is treated like a little princess by her foster Dad, and he says she has already developed a strong sense of entitlement and tries to run the household...hehe. Angie has even gotten the older inactive dogs to play with her. Rest assured that for whatever time Angie has left, she will be pampered and spoiled. A HUGE THANKS to all who contributed to Angie's surgery. We appreciate your generousity so much! That means that DFWTAM can use regular funds to save more dogs.
The handsome and popular Donnie Hawthorne has completed his heartworm treatment, but hasn't done as well as the other 3 dogs that went through treatment with him. He still has a slight cough and won't attend an adoption event until later. We treat so many dogs for heart worm that we sometimes forget how hard it can be on some of these babies.
Brad Paisley came through his heartworm treatment with no problems, but has some itchy skin that we are treating at the moment. Hopefully, this gorgeous boy and well behaved boy will make his debut at a Tzu Review soon.
Don Knotts came through his heartworm treatment with flying colors..didn't miss a beat and attended our Tzu Review this last Saturday. This furbaby's BLUE EYES are just beautiful...you will have to meet him in person... as his photos just don't do him justice!
Allison Morrisette also did well with her heartworm treatment and has now been adopted by her foster Mom along with her best buddy Paul Oakenfield. Yay for Allie and Paulie!
For those of you who saw the Dallas Animal Services poor little guy on Facebook last week with his eye ball hanging out, he is now safe and sound in our care. His name is Bobby Rhine. That nasty looking eye has been removed and he is already in foster care. His foster Mom says he is a sweet good boy.

Bobby Rhine "before"

Bobby after his eye removal...he will be groomed after his stitches are removed.

Angie likes to run Foster Dad Kent's desk...literally;-)
