Here`s a story of a sweet little dog named Nina who is almost 12 or 13 years old, we're not sure.

Nina belonged to another family who didn`t treat her wery well, in fact they were mean to her. My Dad had passed away and my Mom was pretty lonely. A friend of the family knew of the situation and thought they both needed each other. It was love at first sight and a blessing for both of them. My Mom had her for about five and a half years, and then my Mom passed away.

Nina came to live with me, here in Texas. I already had a sweet dog named Bijan. We all had lots of love and both dogs gave me lots of joy and laughs. I lost Bijan last year and Nina helped me get over my loss. She has the biggest heart  any little five pounder that I know.

She is now failing in health. However she was part of my Mom, and I was so thankful to have had her in my life.

So please, when you're looking for a pet, or someone in your family has passed on and left a pet behind, don`t give up on them. Some of these little senior babies just want a chance to love and be loved again.
