A Young Woman Makes a Difference

Our motto: IT ONLY TAKES ONE PERSON TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Recently, it took just one enterprising young woman. Yes, twelve year old Madison T. of Southlake is already an entrepreneur and a philanthropist who has made a difference for the DFWT&M foster dogs.

During her summer vacation, Madison baked and sold dog treats in her neighborhood. One day she set up a stand with a sign that said: Proceeds to support DFW Tzus and More Rescue. Madison raised $45 for DFWT&M with this undertaking. However, that is just the beginning of the story. Several of our volunteers and friends were so impressed and touched by Madison’s efforts that they decided to match her donation. Up to date, we have pledges of matching donations totaling $315. This amount will more than cover the “basic” vetting on 2 of our rescued dogs. WAY TO GO, MADISON!

Madison’s Mom says her daughter is very soft hearted when it comes to animals. If we had more young people like Madison in the world, there would be less need for rescue.Madison has graciously agreed to bring some of her home baked dog treats and volunteer at our Tzu Reunion Picnic on September 27. Thank you, Madison!

FYI: Madison’s family adopted DFW Tzus’ rescued Shih Tzu named Macaulay Culkin. The adorable Mac is pictured below.
