Pet Name:
Lucky Dog, Ping, Sydney, and Hathaway

One foster, and that’s all it took.  I was hooked on Rescue for life.

I accidentally stumbled onto Petfinder.com when my beloved Lhasa, Chamois, passed away. Even though I couldn’t replace Chamois, I knew I had to have another dog immediately.

I checked Petfinder for Lhasas available for adoption, and found an urgent plea on Petfinder requesting a foster home for a cute Lhasa mix named Ping.  I applied and was approved for fostering that very afternoon. I picked Ping up at Meadowbrook Corners Animal Clinic on my way home from work. Thus began my obsession with Rescue and long association with Meadowbrook and Dr. Hagan. DFW Tzus is lucky that Dr. H. continues to be give excellent care to our rescued dogs. Of course, Ping never left our home. It was decided  Ping needed a buddy to keep him company and we added a rescued Lhasa named Lucky Dog. Since then we have added Hathaway and Sydney, a special needs dog, to the household mix. I used to think anyone with more than one dog was crazy, and now I have FOUR little darlings;-)

I can’t imagine my life without dogs, Rescue, and DFW Tzus and More. It was indeed a lucky day when I was asked to lead this group. Working with the fabulous DFW Tzus and More volunteers has been the most awesome experience of my life.  We are a group of good friends who have become like family to each other, but without the sibling bickering;-) It doesn’t get any better than working with good friends who share a common passion for saving Shih Tzu and Lhasas. At DFWT&M, it is ALL ABOUT THE DOGS! With the attitude of this group of fabulous volunteers, the sky is the limit!  I am indeed proud to say I am a part of the DFWT&M team and that we continue to make a difference
